This season is proving to be all over the place! We already have some Victorias and more trees will be ready to pick each day now.
Prices for today and in to next week are –
Purple and Yellow Pershores -10lbs (4.5kgs) ready picked £10;
£1.50 per lb (£3.30/kg)) and PYO 90p lb (£1.98/kg)

Swans £1.50 lb (£3.30/kg) No PYO

Czars PYO 50p lb (£1.10/kg) Ready picked £1 lb (£2.20/kg)

Victorias £1.75 lb (£3.85/kg) – no PYO until middle of next week

We currently are picking the following plums –
Czars, Swans (both sweet eaters), Purple Pershores and Yellow Pershores.
The only apple ready so far is Beauty of Bath (rather sharp).
Runner beans and rhubarb are both also available.

Prolific plums have now finished and opals are coming to an end. Czars are now ready as are Swans.

A further update will be posted mid week for Friday and beyond as we’ll have a clearer idea then about which varieties will be available.

The plums are growing well and sizing up nicely. Apples though are looking less bountiful and some varieties don’t look as if they’ll have a good year. Our Plum Weekend this year will be on 19th / 20th August and our Apple Weekend on 7th / 8th October.
In the meantime, we have the White Ladies Aston Fete on Saturday 24th June 2 – 4.30pm. Paul will be manning the bottle tombola so if you have any fruit related questions, you’ll find him there! For those of you who are fans of The Archers, Trevor Harrison who plays Eddie Grundy will be opening the event.

The plum and damson blossom is at its best this weekend and the orchard will be open from 2 – 4.30pm tomorrow (Sunday 2nd April) for you to enjoy it. Bring your camera, easel, dogs, children! Tea/coffee/biscuits will be available and a donation to church funds would be appreciated. Stout shoes recommended!

Although the trees are beginning to loose their leaves, we still have plenty of apples yet to pick and over 35 varieties available in our farm shop. We will be open this weekend until 3pm on Sunday.
