Unexpected visitors!!

Today we had a visit from a Czech and a New Zealander. They wanted soil samples and apples from the orchard to help in their research in to finger printing the world’s food supply. This is going to be the ultimate in product origin and will help in reducing supply chain risks and protecting brands. If you would like to find out more about this cutting edge technology take a look at www.oritain.com

Welcome to two lords!!

Today we have started to pick –

Lord Lambourne apples – a popular crisp eater. It is a cross between a James Grieve and a Worcester Pearmain apple dating back to 1907.

Lord Derby apples – a good quality cooking apple originating in Cheshire in the nineteenth century.

Both are good for juicing so we are hoping some will still be available on our apple w/e October 11/12
