The apples have been hit nearly as badly as the plums. There are a few on some trees and though we are not opening our shop, if you want to check availability beforehand, we’re happy to serve you if we know in advance that you are coming.
This coming weekend, August 17th and 18th should have been our Plum Weekend. As we have no plums this year, we are having to cancel this event.
Sadly there are very few plums this year so we won’t be opening until the apples are ready which will be mid August. Apples are more abundant though not in the quantities we have had in recent years. The frost didn’t affect the orchard – it was the cold winds from the east. Hope to see you later in the summer.
Paul and Margaret at Walsgrove Farm send you Christmas greetings. Whatever you are doing today, we wish you happiness and good health. Your custom throughout the season has been much appreciated and it has been good to see so many of you again this year.
For the next few weeks, we will feature two apples per week which we hope you will like. They will be at a special price of 40p/lb (88p/kg).
Madresfield Court – crisp and juicy with a Cox like flavour

We still have Cropper plums and a wide range of apples both picked and PYO.
This will probably be the last week for plums. We still have the Cropper variety ready picked or PYO.
Apples are now plentiful, both for PYO and ready picked.

Tuesday 2nd October to Friday 5th October 11am – 6pm
Saturday 6th October 9am – 5pm
CLOSED ON SUNDAY 7th OCTOBER
We are looking forward to our apple day on Saturday October 13th when we anticipate about 50 varieties of apple to be available for you to try. We will also have our apple press in action. If you would like to bring the equivalent of up two carrier bags of your own apples and are happy to cut them up when you get here, we’d be able to juice them for you. Bring your own clean containers. Juice only lasts for three days in the fridge but I see no reason why you couldn’t freeze it.
Otherwise there’s always our juice you can taste and buy if you like it!
